Directions shown on the bottle
The vendor-provided rear label says: take two capsules once daily; for best results, take them 20–30 minutes before a meal with 8 oz. of water, or as directed by a healthcare professional. This site does not increase, decrease or personalize that dose.

Caution statement
The supplied label advises not to exceed the recommended dose and says pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and people with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using the supplement. It also says to keep the product out of reach of children, not to use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing, and to store it in a cool, dry place.
Why we do not call this “AREDS2”
The label overlaps with several AREDS2 nutrients, but the quantities are different. NEI’s AREDS2 formula contains 500 mg vitamin C, 400 IU vitamin E, 2 mg copper, 80 mg zinc, 10 mg lutein and 2 mg zeaxanthin. Comparing the two formulas is more accurate than treating them as identical.
